Operates a homeless shelter; a child-care center with emphasis on caring for the children of the working poor; a domestic violence program, including two safehouses and court advocates; a six-unit transitional living program; a 24/7/365 telephone crisis hotline that is certified for suicide intervention; an emergency assistance program that provides financial assistance, for instance, to halt cut off of utilities and, from its food pantry, food assistance; and two thrift stores.
