Prince William Cooperative Extension offers programs that strengthen families and help protect our environment. Our programs are an extension of the research conducted at the two land-grant universities of Virginia, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.
Educational Programs are designed to:
Enable families to better manage resources
Help youth become self-directing, contributing and productive members of society
Improve the impact of urban horticulture on the environment

Children and Youth
4-H Youth Development Program
4-H programs provide "hands-on: learning experiences for youth. 4-H staff and trained volunteers help youth develop practical skills for living and leadership. The 4-H program includes:
Community clubs for youth ages 5-18
A wide variety of project curriculum
Emphasis on public speaking and community service
Camping opportunities
Teen leadership programs
Special interest programs- Strong Families Competent Kids and Character Counts. |
